ROI UP Group & Sitecore at Meet Commerce

18 November 2024

It is one of the big events of the year. Meet Commerce celebrates this year its second edition as one of the most attractive events for any professional related to digital commerce. And of course, we could not miss it. What’s more, in this edition we also attended as Gold Sponsors and with a luxury speaker: our CTIO, Luis Fantini. It was also an honor to be ambassadors of our partner SITECORE, the leading content management platform.

On this occasion, the event moved from Madrid to Barcelona and took place in a unique and charming place, the centenary factory of the brewery Moritz. We went there with a luxury roiuper retinue led by our CEO Diego Jimenez and in which our colleagues from Barcelona, Valeria Corti and Xesca Solivellas, were also present. Javier Quintana Rios, South EMEA Partner Manager of Sitecore, joined our group to live a day full of experiences and learning about commerce and technology.

The epicenter of ecommerce

With a team of professionals experienced in all aspects of the digital commerce universe, Meet Commerce sought in this new edition to focus on B2B. AI applied to the business-to-business model, key tools and strategies for the future of marketplaces, automation and internalization, experiences and lessons learned on real implementations… These were some of the main topics addressed at the meeting.

If experience is a degree, ours with Sitecore puts us in a privileged position in the knowledge and development of the immense possibilities of the great digital experience platform. However, this year we received the Outstanding New Partner award for EMEA 2024 at the Sitecore Symposyum in Nashville. No one better in Spain than our Luis Fantini to showcase Sitecore’s capabilities. His first intervention in this regard in the Meet Commerce was precisely a very didactic workshop: Sitecore Order Cloud – the 100% Composable solution.

And what are the great advantages of Sitecore? Many, especially its MACH approach (Microservices, API – first, Cloud-Native and Headless).

  • Microservices: the basis of MACH e-commerce. They are specialized and independent components, modifiable and scalable. This system of modules allows rapid adaptation to the new needs of the brand or company.
  • API First: this is what makes it possible to access any platform feature through PIS. This greatly facilitates the integration of other tools, such as payment or analysis gateways, enhances the user experience and optimizes management operations.
  • Cloud-Native: Another feature that allows flexibility to adapt to changes and developments that arise continuously. Cloud hosting is vital for the platform to always perform as expected, even with traffic peaks.
  • Headless: The CMS is not tied to the front-end presentation layer, allowing for independent content creation and management, again gaining flexibility and effective adaptation to trends.
And all this is reflected in much better speed and performance for the platforms, a great security boost, an optimal user experience, development cost savings and a great speed of integration of features and updates among other benefits.

New B2B challenges

In a world with such a dizzying pace of transformation as that of digital commerce, Meet Commerce provides many keys to keep up to date. One of the most relevant talks of the event was once again attended by Luis Fantini. Under the title “Digital Transformation in B2B: eCommerce Platforms. Which is the right B2B platform for your business”, six industry leaders shared many reflections relevant to business to business.

Our CTIO was again able to provide his strategic vision based on the experience gained over the years on Sitecore and its adaptation to B2B. It was a great expert meeting full of insights and moderated by Ignacio Riesco (Global VP eCommerce of Interactiv4, part of Wam Global). He put the grand finale to a very profitable day for all attendees. It was a real pleasure to be able to contribute our bit.

See you in the next edition!
